I am thrilled by the spirit of adventure! I have so much of the world left to see. I want to continue traveling and learn more about cultures outside of my own."
Europe 2019
Germany: Garmisch
My neighbor owns a small apartment tucked away in the heart of Garmisch, Germany. She allowed my father and I to stay there for a day or two. I deemed this adorable town "gingerbread village." What a gorgeous time to visit! Since it was December, we got to experience the Christmas market.
Italy: Verona and Milan
After Germany, we took a train to Verona, Italy, the home of Romeo and Juliet. We spent a couple days touring the city. It was quite rainy, but that meant we weren't fighting crowds! Afterwards, we traveled to Milan - the fashion capital of the world!
Italy: Lake Como
While in Milan, we decided to use one of our days to visit Lake Como. We visited two villages there: Varenna and Bellagio. This was my favorite place ever! The scenery was straight out of a movie: dramatic, romantic, and breathtaking. Since it was winter time, except for the few locals, the villages were empty. We ate at the only open restaurant in Varenna while we waited for our ferry. I enjoyed ravioli stuffed with fresh fish from the lake.
